We undertake urban and regional spatial development strategies, combining our economics and planning expertise. Such exercises may examine the strategic socio-economic case for developing large settlements in one or other sub-region, working with transport and environmental consultants and other specialists to identify optimal development locations. Our strategy work is evidence-based, built up from either primary or secondary research and detailed analysis. In addition to seeking out relevant data for the development of strategy proposals, we aim to extract insights and explanations to ensure that clients fully understand the logic behind proposed strategies. The consultancy uses scenarios and probability techniques to understand the implications of alternative development paths, for example advising the GLA on scenarios for the revision of the London Plan. |
