Client: DETR

Following Sir John Egan’s 1998 report ‘Rethinking Construction’, the DETR and CIRIA commissioned Bone Wells Urbecon to demonstrate how innovation can contribute to achieving improved efficiency in construction. Three major infrastructure projects were examined to assess how improvements in efficiency could be achieved by use of supply chain management, technical innovation and value engineering. The report was published as part of the DETR’s ‘Construction Best Practice Initiative’ and by CIRIA in 2000
